"Without enough sleep, we all become tall two-year-olds." ~JoJo Jensen, Dirt Farmer Wisdom, 2002
For as along as I can remember, I've been a night person. No matter how tired I should be, my mind just starts to spin at night. Every night. I can go to bed super early, but still be tossing and turning until after midnight. Why even try to go to bed before midnight if I can't sleep right? So very often I'm up past 1am. It also follows that I am NOT a morning person and never have been, but that's hard when you've got a little one poking you in the eye first thing in the morning.
One of my New Years resolutions was to try and be more of a morning person and I'm majorly struggling with that. Since being a night owl is common among bloggers, I'm asking you guys. What do you do to shut down at the end of the night? Do you have any brilliant tricks to quiet your mind? Do sleep masks actually work? Is there some herbal miracle cure out there? I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts.

Barn Transformation
I'm going through a bit of a redecorating/wanting to paint everything I own phase right now. Do you ever get like that? Where you feel like the things you own just are not "you" anymore? Maybe it's the warmer weather, but I've got a major hankering for some color in my house, so I'm fantasizing about sanding and painting all of my furniture bright sunny colors. Then I fall completely off my rocker and daydream about buying some great dilapidated house and fabulously remodeling it. So it's understandable that I'm drooling over this barn transformation. Such a cool house and that kitchen...wowie!!

Manly Monday
So...this was supposed to be posted first thing this morning. Not sure what happened, but I'm gonna have to watch that now.
How was your weekend dears? Mine was awesome. Got plenty of sunlight, scored on some thrift finds, and got a pedicure. Doesn't get much better than that!! We didn't go to the flea market because it's actually the 2nd Sunday of the month, so this coming Sunday we're all over it. I've even got Husband convinced that it'll be fun (yes I'm that good).
It's been a while, so I figured a Manly Monday was in order. So here's some awesomeness for the men in your lives.
1. One of a kind vintage map newspaper stand
2. Awesome watch
3. Wood panel laptop sleeve
4. Stripey shirts for everyone!
5. Retro radio
6. Hand painted canvas ties
Happy Manly Monday!

Girl Crush: The Girls With Glasses
So, apparently I've been hiding under a rock, but I just discovered The Girls With Glasses a couple weeks back. I'm now hooked and kinda smitten with these two cuties. I mean just take a look at their theme song video and you'll see what I mean.
As I was browsing through their video's I ran into this REALLY fun craft project that even me, the most uncrafty person in the world, could do. I'm needing some new art, so I'm off to buy me some of that gel gloss and get my craft on.
Hope you're having a fabulous Sunday!

Have A Sunlit Weekend
Happy weekend kittens! It has been so, so nice here the past couple days that I've had a really hard time wanting to be inside! So this weekend we are soaking up the sunshine as much as we can. I'm trying to convince Husband that driving to Pasadena to go to a flea markets is a wonderful idea. It's the Rose Bowl flea market and I hear that it's huge, full of good loot, and a great place to see celebs. I'm kinda dying to go. Has anyone been? Do you have any fun plans for this weekend? I'll give a prize to whoever has the coolest thing planned:) Whatever you're up to I hope it's wonderful and filled with sunlight.
Here are my linkypoos for weekend browsing.

Friday Favs: Color Block
It took me all day because the weather was just too nice not to be lazy today, but dagnabbit I told you I'd get this post up today and here it is!!
Today's Friday fav's are all about the color blocking trend that rocked the Spring runways. If you can't tell, I'm kinda crazy for color lately, so this trend makes me a very happy girl. What makes me even happier? When it's all mashed together in one genius ensemble. When pulled off right, it's awesome! So, I wanna know dears, what are your thoughts on this trend? Are you brave enough to try it out?
1. Amrita Singh bangle 2. Color clutch 3. Ban.do heart headband 4. Kurt Geiger wedge (drool) 5. Color-block tote 6. Marc by Marc Jacobs dress

Excuse My Lateness
It was sunny and 85 degrees yesterday and this was the perfect end to our day yesterday. Jealous huh? We ended up staying to have some chow with my brother and family who were visiting. We got home late, but it was oh so worth it. However, I didn't have time to finish my Friday Favs before bed, so look for it in a bit. (I hope.)
P.S. Have you ever seen something (in my case a dress) that you cannot get out of your head? And have you ever totally forgotten where you saw this something? I have this dress that is burned into my head, but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it. A magazine? An online store? A blog? Ahhhhhh!!! It's actually keeping me awake!
