Daydreaming About....

..relaxing in a hammock on the beach.

I have to apologize for my lack of posts lately AND my lack on commenting on your posts. I feel like I am so behind on my blog reading and I miss it!

You know how someone always seems to be sick at my house? Well, Husband has been sick for a while and a couple weeks ago we found out that it's quite a bit worse than we thought. It's been doctor after doctor and test after test, but we still don't have answers yet. I try not to let my mind wander and worry, but it's getting harder as more time passes. Nothing zaps inspiration quite like this, so you can see why I just haven't had the heart to do much blogging some days.  I have really high hopes that we'll figure this out soon though and then I can get back to it.

I just wanted to say that I miss you all and your beautiful inspiration each day and hope you're having a wonderful start to your week.

Vacation

Nuff said.

Hair Knot

Do you ever have one of those just throw your hair back/make it work kinda days? I do A LOT. After seeing this version of a hair knot done for the Michael Kors Spring show, I think I've found my new favorite summer do.

Feeling a little...Turquoise

Remember these yellow shoes I was lusting after? I was all ready to buy, but they are sold out. Everywhere!! So, so bummed. (If any of you know where to get them, I'd love ya for it). Anyhoo, after I saw these Rachel Roy looks and THOSE shoes, I'm switching my attention to turquoise. So here are some of the options in consideration. Opinions please girls???

1. Nina Platform Clog 2. Nine West Turquoise Espadrilles 3. Michael Antonio Wedge

Never Going Back Again

An awesome song/album in it's own right, but thanks to the Glee cover, I am re-loving this song. Can't get it out of my head!! A pretty darn good remake don't ya think?

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

Scrabble Anyone?

Husband and I have an anniversary coming up AND he has a birthday within days of that. Traditionally, we've gone somewhere fun to celebrate both, but this year we will have just gotten back from our trip to Hawaii.  So, I spotted these Scrabble Pictures by artist Brigitte Herrod and thought they were so awesome! Are they appropriate for an anniversary or a birthday? What do you think darlings?

P.S. Any other ideas are welcome!

I could really go for one of these...

Daydreaming about this Antipasto Panini. Buttery bread, artichoke hearts, turkey, and cheese... Yeah I could really go for one of these right now. I think this might be one of the first things I make when I can eat carbs again:) Mmmmm. Okay now off to "enjoy" my salad. For the rest of you who can eat carbs...here is the super simple recipe:

Antipasto Panini
  • butter, softened
  • Artisan bread cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • pesto
  • artichoke hearts, from a jar or can (I used the plain not marinated)
  • roasted red pepper, cut into strips
  • deli sliced turkey breast
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  1. To assemble the sandwich, take two slices of bread. Put a spoonful of pesto on one slice of bread and spread around. Then top the pesto with some artichoke followed by red pepper strips, turkey and then a slice of provolone.
  2. Put sandwich together and spread the outside of both sides with butter. Place in a panini press or indoor grill like a George Forman grill.  Grill until golden.  If you don’t have a press or grill.  Cook in a frying pan – grill one side.  Then when grilling the other side place a heavy dish on top like a cast iron skillet to press the sandwich while the other side cook.
