Have a Lovely Weekend

The weeks are just so busy these days that I get really excited for the weekends. We've started a little tradition on Saturday mornings where we do something fun for breakfast. Last weekend I made Swedish pancakes and the kids gobbled them up. Also, it's officially LOVE month! Brace yourselves for lots of "love" posts in the coming days.

I have to apologize for my lack of posts lately AND my lack on commenting on your posts. I feel like I am so behind on my blog reading and I miss it!

You know how someone always seems to be sick at my house? Well, Husband has been sick for a while and a couple weeks ago we found out that it's quite a bit worse than we thought. It's been doctor after doctor and test after test, but we still don't have answers yet. I try not to let my mind wander and worry, but it's getting harder as more time passes. Nothing zaps inspiration quite like this, so you can see why I just haven't had the heart to do much blogging some days.  I have really high hopes that we'll figure this out soon though and then I can get back to it.

I just wanted to say that I miss you all and your beautiful inspiration each day and hope you're having a wonderful start to your week.

Girl Crush: Madrid Girl

I recently ran across this lovely lady from Madrid, Spain and immediately had a crush on her. Take the first picture. Sexy librarian glasses, bright blazer, striped shirt, perfect boyfriend jeans, and THE shoes! Oh wait, did I forget her fabulous ombre hair or messy braid? Perfection from head to toe. As you can see, she has a cool sense of style all the time. If ya need me I'll be vigorously taking notes...(sigh)

So why is it that European girls are all-together more stylish than American girls? Really? What is it that we haven't figured out yet? Any thoughts?

A little actress in the making??  This adorable little one belongs to Simon Egan, the co-producer of The Kings Speech. The article was actually about her dropping and damaging Oscar in front of a whole host of people.  Ooops! But I can't get over this picture! A lucky little one to be clutching an Oscar like it was her teddy bear, but also...how stinkin cute!

Sorry about the no post yesterday, but we had Dr. appointment's, taxes to be done, guests for dinner, and it looked like a bomb went off in my house. Oh and a migraine headache somewhere in there. Do you ever just feel like you need to take a time-out? Clear your head and try and get caught up? That was me yesterday.

Aren't these Yoga Dogs by photographer Dan Borris hilarious? They make me want to take up yoga again! Maybe that will help me find my zen place. What do you do to find your zen place dears?

I Want To Be Her

Of course I am having major technical difficulties getting my flea market pictures off my camera.  What a Monday thing to happen!! So I will see if I can get it fixed in time for a post tomorrow. I may need to call in my resident AV geek (husband).
For the time being, I want to be Keri Russell in this picture. Sitting at a cafe with a drink, a book, and a croissant. Yep that's how you end a Monday dears.

The Cutest Proposal

How was your weekend dears? Our weekend was good, we went to the farmers market as planned, however, both kids got the stomach flu that night (not planned), so yesterday was a lounge day for us.

Just to start the day off with a smile, isn't this the cutest idea for a proposal?  This is taken at Disneyland on the Splash Mountain ride (my favorite). There is a camera that shoots off a picture right as you go down the big hill, then you get off the ride and see your picture on the monitor. The bride-to-be's face is totally priceless.

Yan Photography put together this lovely photo shoot of a Ballerina inspired wedding. What made my jaw drop was the bride.  I am dying over that messy braid!! With the added touch of the flowers, wouldn't this be a  gorgeous wedding day look?

Have A Restful Weekend

I am sick yet again. It was only two weeks ago that I had the latest stomach flu, but this time, as it turns out, I have strep throat. So they'll be lots of soup, tea, rest and movies for me this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend all and try to take care of yourselves during this sick season.

P.S. I would love to crawl into one of these enormous sweaters and camp out all weekend.
