An Etsy Halloween

Now I know that time is running out to order things for Halloween, but I've seen some really cute things that I just had to share. As it goes with Etsy, there was ton of stuff I loved, so I painstakingly narrowed it down to a couple favorites.

These adorable knit Halloween Mary Jane's

These all natural, homemade Candy Corn lip balms. Yummmm!

This totally adorable pumpkin necklace

If you've never had this yummy, yummy treat before, it's to die for! I'm excited about the Christmas flavors too.

This cute hand knit pumpkin hat. Love the stem on this!

This totally cute and unique embroidered trick-or-treat bag

This candy corn bath bar. You'd smell like candy corn all day!

Spooky Stays

Heeere's Johnny!
For those of you who have read or seen "The Shining" (I only watched it once), the Stanley Hotel was the inspiration behind it. The most popular room is 217. The hotel offers ghost tours and ghost hunts where you will hear tales of actual sightings. Guests can also tun in to "The Shining" on one of the hotel's television stations where it's on loop all of the day.

The Winchester Mystery House was lived in by the widow and heir to the Winchester rifle fortune. Mrs. Winchester felt that she was being haunted by the evil spirits of those killed by a Winchester rifle. So in order to confuse these evil spirits she kept changing and creating more and more rooms. The result of this was stairs leading to the ceiling, doors that go nowhere, and chimneys that stop just short of the roof. Flashlight tours of the mansion are given every Friday the 13th and at Halloween!

The Lizzie Borden B&B is the home where Lizzie Borden allegedly took an ax to her parents. Guests can stay in rooms that used to belong to various family members including the room that her parents were found dead in. If you're not creeped out enough, there is a mannequin of Lizzie Borden and crime scene photos in this room. I would not be brave enough to stay here! (shudder, shudder)

Sidenote: I should not have done this post before bed

Halloween Entertaining

I've always wanted to throw a Halloween party, but just never done it. I just think it would be a lot of fun to go all out with the decorations and costumes. Maybe one day. So for now I can live vicariously through these fun party ideas.
This was my favorite. Someone took a picture of a creepy old house and blew it up. What a genius idea! I also love the big lanterns.

I thought this one was a bit more sophisticated, but still fun

Totally adore these Vintage invitations and postcards! How perfect is that?

Devilish Delights

Halloween is nearly upon us, so I am dedicating this weeks posts to this spooky holiday. Now I am very visual with my food, so most of these I don't think I could even attempt to eat, but I guess that's the point. These look so real that I'm feeling a bout of nausea just looking at them. Would you partake?

Fall Fun

Fall is here - even though it was close to 100 degrees last week. This is absolutely my favorite time of year. I love the fall colors and the crisp cool air. The sweaters and jeans. I also love the holidays and being around family. Let's not forget the food. It is comfort food season my friends. So I thought it would be fun to make all of this months posts all about fall/Halloween stuff.

Check out these cute Shortbread Finger Cookies from William Sonoma. They look so real it might be kinda hard to eat them. But eat them I will!
