Cabin Porn

Sometimes it feels like my days just flyby without even a small moment to myself. Lately I've really been missing winter (crazy), so when I've had an especially long day,  I daydream about being in a quiet snowy cabin with a little fire and a good book.   In my search to put a picture to my daydream I ran across THIS very aptly named blog.  Pages and pages of quaint little cabins/cottages in the most picturesque settings for me to drool over (sigh).  So now you know my dirty little secret.

Pretties, what awesome places to you daydream about?

Aloha!

Has it really been almost a month since my last blog post?! So much has been going on and I think I just needed that little break, but after an awesome trip to Hawaii, I feel much more happy and relaxed.  Our trip was filled with jogs on the beach,  lots of pina coladas and lying around the pool, and some fun nights out.  It's just so beautiful there that how could you not feel relaxed?? However, I'm now in the summer spirit and ready to start posting about summer fun.  How have you darlings been?

A Great Escape: Would You Dare?

Winter is officially over and I know many of you are so ready to move on from the cold and snow and get to the sunny and green. So I may be answering my own question, but would you dare to stay in this Swedish hotel made entirely of ice?  The artistry alone is something to behold and I think it would be awesome to see, but sleeping here....not so sure. What are your thoughts dears?

Even if you wouldn't stay here in a million years, you can still admire the artistry of this cool place here.

Home Envy: Morocco

Along with Bali, Morocco is very high on my bucket list these days. With all the mixtures of rich color and patterns AND tile! I just think it's a beautiful place. Check out this home featured in Elle Decor.  I LOVE all the pink, but man all the tile and color in that kitchen...drool!

A Great Escape

I have been feeling so off my game lately and I can't even pinpoint why! I feel like I'm always running to catch up. Do you ever get like that? Maybe I need another vacation and make it a longer one this time please.

I could be blissfully happy spending a week in this amazing seaside cabin in Norway. Isn't the blue and white decor perfect for an ocean retreat? I can just feel that sea breeze on my face. Heaven.

Read the cute story and history about this cabin here (you might need Google translate)

Jet setter: San Francisco

San Francisco Gal

It's Friday and THANK HEAVENS for that! I'm sorry about the delay with the posting, I've been running around all morning trying to get things taken care of. It has been a rough week and a half with sick kids and a crazy busy husband. The light at the end of the tunnel is I'm flying to San Francisco tonight to visit the parents. Just me! Tomorrow I'm getting a pedicure (ahhh), then gallivanting around the city. I may even take a few pics! What are you up to this weekend?

In place of my Friday Favs I put together a jet setter look for my weekend. Can you tell I love my cardis?

A Great Escape: Bali

Have you ever had one of those days when you just feel blah? Well, I seem to be having one of those weeks! Along with this is some major inspiration block on my blog. It's driving me nuts!!!

I'm thinking I need a vacation. A lay on the beach, fall asleep while reading a book vacation. Bali has quickly been climbing my "must see" list for a while, but after seeing this resort, I'm dying to go! A week here would set me up forever!

Friday Favs

It's 2011 and finally things are starting to get back to normal. With the holidays I am so disoriented that I almost forgot that it was Friday tomorrow. It's like finding 20 bucks in my pocket! The best part is that I have a ton of fun Friday Favorites to share over the next couple weeks. Yay! So let's get started:

1. LOOOOOVE these Derek Lam booties
2. I've been pining for this plaid faux fur coat from Ruche since I first saw it
3. A sexy duffel for a man or a woman. The best part...it's also got a hard-case bottom.
4. This brown leather egg chair is timeless and just...cool
5. I am totally smitten with the texture of this canary ring. Isn't it stunning?
6. My new favorite perfume. French Kiss is my favorite scent , but Dead Sexy is a VERY close 2nd
7. What goes better with soup than a sandwich?? Voila! The soup and sandwich plate. Genius.

Happy Friday everyone!!

The Perfect Place To Spend Christmas

New York (never been at Christmas time)

Luzern, Switzerland (doesn't it look perfectly cozy)

Quebec - I'd LOVE to go to the Winter Carnival as well

Bern Switzerland - because it looks like it's right out of a Dickens book

Of course Paris - seen it in the fall, but not at Christmas

If I had an unlimited amount of money, I think it'd be so much fun to spend Christmas in a different place each year. I've been compiling my bucket list for a while, so here are a few of my top choices, but there were many more....maybe next year.

Paris and Snow

I am knee deep in cookies and frosting (sounds yummy huh), so I'm slacking a little on my posts today. Here is a little bit of eye candy for you from one of my favorite Paris blogs. Paris in the snow! Wouldn't it be awesome to spend a Christmas here? I am so swooning right now.

The Best Gift

If you know me, you know that I dream about spas. The Chocolate Spa at Hotel Hershey offers some yummy holiday treatments. I'll have the Holiday Spice Massage, a Peppermint Facial, and a Peppermint Pattie Salt Scrub with Chocolate Fondue Wrap.

There is also four star hotel and Christmas Festivities up the wazoo. I had no idea!

Here's a short list of spa's around the country offering amazing holiday treatments:

Padlock Love

It's been a lot of years since I've been to Paris, but it's always been my favorite city. You mention France and immediately romantic notions instantly pop into your mind right? These pictures just prove that it's indeed The City of Love! Je t'adore

Necker Island

Lack of sleep, sick kids, lots of crying...that was my Monday in a nutshell. At one point I was thinking/dreaming how nice it would be to spend a couple days alone on a beautiful secluded island just sleeping and lying around. Doing whatever I wanted whenever I wanted (sigh). So I found where I would go - of course money would be no object right? This place is unbelievable! Necker Island here I come! A girl can dream...
