Happy Monday

How was your weekend lovelies? Thank you so much for your advice and encouragement with my little funk. It helped tremendously. I started to feel like myself on Saturday after having some of the yummiest Thai food with friends and watching some Rock Hudson and Doris Day.

Pillow Talk is one of my favorite oldies. If you haven't seen it you must! What's your favorite old movie to watch?

Have a refreshing weekend

So my funk continues today and to add to that I've been fighting a massive migraine headache since last night! Not cool. This is why I haven't posted much today and as hard as I tried, wasn't able to finish my Friday Favorites post last night. So I'm taking some Advil and a little breather hoping to come back refreshed tomorrow. I hope your Friday is going better and that you have wonderful plans to look forward to this weekend! What do you do when you're in a funk?


P.S. It made me feel loads better to know that even one of our favorite ladies gets into a funk every once in a while.

A Great Escape: Bali

Have you ever had one of those days when you just feel blah? Well, I seem to be having one of those weeks! Along with this is some major inspiration block on my blog. It's driving me nuts!!!

I'm thinking I need a vacation. A lay on the beach, fall asleep while reading a book vacation. Bali has quickly been climbing my "must see" list for a while, but after seeing this resort, I'm dying to go! A week here would set me up forever!

Smitten Kitten

I just recently ran across the online boutique Totokaelo. Why didn't anyone tell me about them?? I spent A LOT of time pouring/drooling over the clothes, shoes, and jewelry they have online. What I love the most is seeing how they put different pieces together to create amazing looks. If you're lucky enough to live in Seattle they have an actual store there too (jealous). I am now officially smitten!

Since I was sick I've been playing catch up and haven't had a whole lot of time to work on my New Years resolutions. So last night I started working on one of my goals. Can you tell which one? I WON!!

Everyone knows someone in their life who appears to have all the luck, well that girl is NOT me. But maybe things are changing.... Out of all the giveaways I've entered, I finally won one! What did I win? This totally adorable 1960's vintage clutch from Emily at El Vintage (check out her stuff, it's amazing). Needless to say, I was on cloud nine all day yesterday. Can't wait to get it!

Manly Monday

How was your weekend? Our weekend was wonderful. I got a little me time, so I went and got my hair done. I didn't do it quite this red, but I put some red highlights in and I love it! Oh and I also found some new products (more later). I felt so pretty afterward that we went out with some friends that evening.

So I am dedicating a Monday post to the men out there. I realized over the weekend that I have been leaving them out. So welcome to my first Manly Monday!

Guys you can have a mustache even if your significant other doesn't love it. Okay, it's not a real mustache, but it is a REALLY cool mustache T. It's a compromise...

I've always liked wingtips on guys. The Sartorialist (Mr. Fashion) proves that they are still timeless and classic.

I know that these jackets may be a little fashion forward for some guys, but just think they are a sexier version of the cardigan. Ladies back me up. Aren't they awesome?

I found and fell in love with these quality and funky custom leather bags (man bags). They also make bags for laptops, iPads...etc.

Bloggers Conference Bummer

I just found out about this bloggers conference in Salt Lake City and am so bummed that I'm not there. SLC is a 2nd home to us (husband and I went to University of Utah) and I even have tons of free places to stay! Look at the line-up of speakers! All our favorite and fabulous blogs!

Oh and the registration comes with free tickets to Solitude, my favorite ski resort. It's where I learned to ski as a child and snowboard when I was first married (I still love the Sesame Street run).
