Tea with Royals
With all the royal wedding chatter, I can't help but think of the pressure that poor bride is under. Normal wedding day jitters times a million!! I have my DVR set to record so I can tune in first thing in the morning. I'm really excited to see the dress. What are you most excited to see?
These teabags from German company Donkey Products are too funny. It makes them look like they are sitting in a hot tub. After all this wedding hoopla is over, I hope they are able to get away and relax a bit. Maybe go hot tubbing?

Eluding Sleep
"Without enough sleep, we all become tall two-year-olds." ~JoJo Jensen, Dirt Farmer Wisdom, 2002
For as along as I can remember, I've been a night person. No matter how tired I should be, my mind just starts to spin at night. Every night. I can go to bed super early, but still be tossing and turning until after midnight. Why even try to go to bed before midnight if I can't sleep right? So very often I'm up past 1am. It also follows that I am NOT a morning person and never have been, but that's hard when you've got a little one poking you in the eye first thing in the morning.
One of my New Years resolutions was to try and be more of a morning person and I'm majorly struggling with that. Since being a night owl is common among bloggers, I'm asking you guys. What do you do to shut down at the end of the night? Do you have any brilliant tricks to quiet your mind? Do sleep masks actually work? Is there some herbal miracle cure out there? I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts.

Excuse My Lateness
It was sunny and 85 degrees yesterday and this was the perfect end to our day yesterday. Jealous huh? We ended up staying to have some chow with my brother and family who were visiting. We got home late, but it was oh so worth it. However, I didn't have time to finish my Friday Favs before bed, so look for it in a bit. (I hope.)
P.S. Have you ever seen something (in my case a dress) that you cannot get out of your head? And have you ever totally forgotten where you saw this something? I have this dress that is burned into my head, but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it. A magazine? An online store? A blog? Ahhhhhh!!! It's actually keeping me awake!

My Cup of Tea
My little escape from the stress and goings on of daily life comes in the form of a cup of tea. For just a brief moment I can escape and pretend that I'm sitting on a beautiful porch overlooking whatever beautiful place my mind conjures up.
I realized though, that after all these years, I don't have a teapot! I just found these teapots from London company The Teapottery . They are so stinkin cute that I think I must have one! How many fellow tea lovers are there out there?

Bloggers Day of Silence
This week has been a bit of a odd week blogging wise for me. It's felt strange to blog about happy things when there is so much sadness going on in Japan. I have been so heartbroken by the devastating loss and damage those people have experienced. In the face of all that, there is still the terrifying question of what is to come.
Tomorrow I will not be doing my traditional Friday Posts. Instead, I will be joining many others in the Bloggers Day of Silence to honor the many lost and those dealing with loss during this tragic time. Please visit For Japan With Love to find out more about the fund raising efforts and what you can do to help. Every little bit helps, so take tomorrows silence as a day to send your thoughts and prayers to the Japanese people and hope that they can feel our love.

Bloggers Conference Bummer

I just found out about this bloggers conference in Salt Lake City and am so bummed that I'm not there. SLC is a 2nd home to us (husband and I went to University of Utah) and I even have tons of free places to stay! Look at the line-up of speakers! All our favorite and fabulous blogs!
Oh and the registration comes with free tickets to Solitude, my favorite ski resort. It's where I learned to ski as a child and snowboard when I was first married (I still love the Sesame Street run).
Bumming hard guys, bumming hard.
